Grants are available to UK-registered charities involved in the prevention or relief of poverty, the advancement of education, the advancement of health or the saving of lives, and the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage, or science.
Grants are typically between £10,000 and £30,000 with an average grant of around £25,000, in exceptional circumstances the trustees may award larger or multi-year grants.
The funding is intended to support UK registered charities and organisations working to advance the charitable aims of the Trust, which are:
- Primarily, the prevention or relief of poverty; the advancement of education; the advancement of health or the saving of lives; and the advancement of the arts, culture, heritage, or science
- Secondarily, the advancement of citizenship or community development; the advancement of amateur sport; the advancement of environmental protection or improvement; and the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship, or other disadvantage.
Applications are invited from UK registered charities or their equivalent, e.g., bodies with exempt charity status in England and Wales.
The Trustees are particularly interested in supporting organisations which operate at a national level.
Applications can be made throughout the year and the deadlines for quarterly meetings are 30th March, 30th June, 30th September and 31st December each year.
