Free Level 2 Youth Work Training in Wolverhampton
WVCA is working with BAYC and Youth Focus West Midlands to put on a Level 2 Certificate in Youth Work Practice training course starting in October. The course will be free for employees and volunteers already working with young people for an organisation in Wolverhampton as we have secured a number of National Youth Agency training bursaries, although larger organisations may be asked to contribute to any places they are offered in order to help subsidise additional places.
The course will be a total of 20 hours face-to face learning, with each participant needing to complete a workbook within 6 months of the course starting. All applicants will need the support of the person in charge / line manager at their organisation.
Places are limited and will be shared out across as many organisations as possible. This is an application process with WVCA and BAYC making the final selection of participants. This is to make sure the course is appropriate for those selected, and to maximise the number and diversity of organisations to benefit from someone with a new youth work qualification. There is no limit to the number of applicants from any one organisation, although a maximum of three places awarded per organisation (unless the course is undersubscribed).
To apply please complete the online form at https://forms.gle/WZ6AMvbjswMKaBx7A.
IMPORTANT – in the ‘Please tell us why you are applying’ section of the application form, please let us know whether you will be able to attend the course if it takes place on (a) weekday 9am – 5pm (b) a weekday evening, (c) a weekend daytime, and which of these would be your preference.
Closing date – Thursday 28th September 2023.
