Wolverhampton Volunteers, a project of WVCA, work with over two hundred organisations and help provide volunteers for these organisations that help and support the community of Wolverhampton.
National Volunteers Week in June provides an opportune time to raise the profile of volunteering and say ‘thank you’ to amazing volunteers.
We are grateful for The City of Wolverhampton Council supporting our events at both the Civic on the 4th and the Mander Centre on the 5th.
30 Voluntary Sector Organisations joined us over the two days and had the opportunity to engaged with hundreds of people in showcasing their volunteering offers.
It also provided an opportunity to say thank you to volunteers with many exceptional volunteers receiving certificates and gifts.
All feedback was very positive and everyone agreed we had two very successful days in raising the many and varied volunteering opportunities available across Wolverhampton.
We know many more organisations would have liked to join us and will get another opportunity to be involved at our next recruitment event later in the year.
Another big thank you to Dave and Sue at Wolverhampton Volunteers for their time and hard work in delivering the events.
