Armed Forces charities and other not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants of up to £40,000 to support serving armed forces personnel, veterans, operationally qualified seafarers, and their immediate families.
The types of grants awarded include:
- Grants of up to £30,000 for projects. This grant could be spread over up to three years,
- Grants of up to £75,000 for salaries for up to three years (max £25,000 per year).
The Veterans Foundation gives priority to charities and organisations that can demonstrate they are directly involved in providing support to those in need, as well as well-run organisations of low to medium wealth.
In awarding grants, a range of factors will be considered, including the service or item being funded, the number of beneficiaries, the grant’s importance to the applicant organisation, the organisation’s efficiency, the beneficiaries’ needs, and its urgency.
The Foundation is introducing a new Grant-Making System that is due to go live in mid-September.
