The International Tree Foundation offers funding and practical support for community-led tree planting projects across the UK and Ireland, helping local organisations create greener places, strengthen community involvement and deliver lasting benefits for people and wildlife.
Who can apply?
- Community groups and locally rooted organisations across the UK and Ireland
- Organisations such as schools, parish councils, church groups and environmental societies
- Projects involving local people in planting and caring for trees
- Projects taking place on public or publicly accessible land, including private land used for a social purpose or with permissive access
What can you get?
- Flexible financial support for community tree planting projects of different sizes
- Physical trees and expert advice, which can include support with project design, species selection and ground preparation
- Small maintenance grants for tree care during the first two years after planting, set at 10p per tree each year
