The Birmingham and Black Country Communities Fund offers grants for local projects that improve health and wellbeing, tackle disadvantage, respond to local needs, strengthen community cohesion or help create sustainable and supportive communities.
Who can apply?
- Registered charities and constituted community groups
- Companies Limited by Guarantee with charitable aims and Community Interest Companies
- Social enterprises, registered Community Benefit Societies and registered Industrial and Provident Societies
- Organisations working in Birmingham or the Black Country with annual income of no more than £500,000
What can you get?
- Grants of between £500 and £3,000
- Funding for start-up costs, extending or developing an existing project, pilot projects, equipment or other resources

Key notes
- Funding must be spent within one year.
- Applicants need an appropriate governing document, at least three unrelated committee or board members, and an organisational bank account with at least two unrelated signatories.
- Quotes are required for capital items costing more than £300.
