The Triangle Trust 1949 Fund is offering grants to UK organisations providing specialist, long-term support for young women aged 17–30 who are already in contact with the criminal justice system. Funding will support trauma- and gender-informed projects that help young women move away from offending and build safer, more stable lives.

  • Organisations with annual income of at least £50,000 and no more than £5 million
  • Organisations led by and for women and girls, or specialist organisations with expertise in housing, employment or family support for young women
  • Applicants with a proven record of delivering gender- and trauma-informed work with young women aged 17–30 who are in contact with the criminal justice system

What can you get?

  • Grants of up to £100,000 over 18, 24, 30 or 36 months
  • A maximum of £50,000 per year
  • Project funding for direct work with young women; reasonable contributions to organisational running costs may be included within the overall project budget

Deadline
15 October 2026 (2pm) for Expressions of Interest

Key notes

  • Projects must work solely with young women aged 17–30 who are already in contact with the criminal justice system.
  • The round focuses on long-term support with housing, employment and healthy family relationships; pre-release, through-the-gate and post-release support; and support for mothers before and after a custodial sentence.
  • Proposals must include targets linked specifically to reducing reoffending and should be co-designed with young women or involve support from women with relevant lived experience.
  • The amount requested must be lower than the applicant organisation’s annual income and proportionate to the proposed project.
  • The application process begins with an eligibility checker and Expression of Interest. Selected organisations will be invited to submit a full application by 5 November 2026 at 12 noon, followed by an assessment visit for shortlisted applicants.
