The B&Q Foundation is offering grants to UK-registered charities providing home starter kits for people moving into accommodation following homelessness, domestic abuse, illness, disability or financial hardship. The funding aims to help individuals and families make their new homes safe, welcoming and comfortable.
Who can apply?
- Charities registered, based and working in the UK
- Organisations supporting people in need by providing accommodation or helping them move into their own homes
- Charities that have operated for at least one year and have published annual accounts
- Applicants with an appropriate safeguarding policy and a published profile on the Neighbourly platform
What can you get?
- A one-off grant of up to £10,000
- Up to £500 per home starter kit
- Funding for items such as small electrical appliances, white goods, furniture, bedding, kitchen utensils, cleaning and laundry items, flooring, paint, curtains, lighting, safety equipment, basic repair materials and home-retailer gift cards
