The Light Fund offers grants to UK registered charities for distinct projects helping children, women or men in the UK or overseas. Funding is available for projects to be completed in 2027.
Who can apply:
- UK registered charities, including those delivering work overseas. Overseas activity must be submitted by a charity with a UK charity registration number.
What you can get:
- Up to £5,000 towards a distinct charitable project. Proposals should request £5,000 or less; the application form says projects costing around £5,000 are favoured.
Key notes:
- Projects must be completed in 2027. Clearly explain the activity, who will benefit and the tangible outcome.
- Normally one project submission per registered charity is accepted, unless proposals come from different strands, such as regional divisions.
- Apply using the fund’s online form. Trustees and committee members vote on proposals; the number supported depends on funds raised. Charities are informed of the outcome in December.
Deadline:
5pm on Friday 6 November 2026.
