The National Lottery Community Fund’s Awards for All programmes offer small grants for community-led activity across the UK. Wolverhampton organisations should use the England programme to bring people together, improve local spaces, support early opportunities or respond to cost-of-living pressures.
Who can apply:
- In England, eligible applicants include constituted community groups, charities, CIOs, not-for-profit companies, CICs, community benefit societies and statutory bodies. Schools must mainly benefit and involve the wider community.
- You need at least two unrelated board or committee members; companies need two unrelated directors. Smaller-income organisations are prioritised. Individuals, sole traders and for-profit businesses cannot apply.
What you can get:
- £300–£20,000 for projects lasting up to two years. Funding can support new or existing activity and organisational adaptation.
- England’s eligible costs include running costs, staff and training, equipment, transport, utilities, volunteer expenses and small land or refurbishment projects.
Key notes:
- Apply at least 16 weeks before funding is needed in England. Wait for a decision before starting the project or spending money. Involve your community in designing and delivering the work.
- England excludes retrospective costs, fundraising, statutory services, overseas travel, private profit and religious activity. Property work may require a five-year lease and owner’s permission.
- Separate programmes cover Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, each with its own rules and currently a 12-week decision time. Scotland’s arts- or sports-focused projects have a £10,000, 12-month limit.
- Apply online through the programme for the nation where your activity will take place. The link below opens the England programme.
Deadline:
No fixed deadline — rolling applications. For England, allow at least 16 weeks before you need the funding.
