Trustees’ Week is a time for us to come together to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK.

As part of Trustees’ Week 2023 we are shining a light on some of WVCA’s trustees to thank them for the time, commitment and effort they bring to our organisation.

Gurbax Kaur is a voluntary sector representative on WVCA’s board. She is the 2018 West Midlands Combined Authority Thrive Mental Health Commission award winner for Wolverhampton and the West Midlands.

Gurbax says: “I became a Charity Trustee with the WVCA because I wanted to support community groups in Wolverhampton.

“Being a Trustee in a restructured, growing, and diverse organisation is rewarding because I can influence change, build relationships, and focus on improving mental and wellbeing services across the City of Wolverhampton.
