Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to share WVCA’s Annual Report for 2023/24, reflecting on a year of transition, progress, and impact.
In 2023/24, we successfully secured the City Council’s Infrastructure Contract, reinforcing our commitment to supporting Wolverhampton’s Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise, and Faith (VCSEF) sector through capacity building, advocacy, and volunteering. We also strengthened our partnerships in health and social care, seeing our Social Prescribing Service and SUIT (Service User Involvement Team) project continue to grow in their support for some of the city’s most vulnerable people.
Our strategic engagement deepened through key partnerships with the Integrated Care Partnership, One Wolverhampton Board, Health & Wellbeing Board, and others. We also moved premises to Paycare House, after 20 years in Temple St. marking a new chapter for WVCA.
One of our proudest achievements was forward funding £244,000 distributed across the Wolverhampton VCSEF sector through initiatives like the HOPE project, Social Enterprise Boost Fund, and the St. Peter’s Project. We have continued to build on this in 2024/25 having forward funded an additional £350,000 to the VCSEF sector. None of this would have been possible without our dedicated team of staff and volunteers, who work tirelessly to support communities across Wolverhampton.
