The Paul Hamlyn Foundation’s Ideas and Pioneers Fund will soon reopen, offering grants of up to £20,000 to help individuals, groups, and small organisations explore bold new ideas for social change.

Who can apply?

  • Individuals aged 18+ (preference for 18–30)

  • Small groups of up to three people

  • Small organisations with up to five employees

The Foundation particularly welcomes first-time applicants and those most affected by systemic oppression or discrimination.

What can be funded?

  • Developing a product or innovative approach

  • Research and evidence gathering for campaigns

  • Paying yourself or others to deliver activities

  • Engaging with people with lived experience to shape ideas

Examples of past projects

  • Museum of Homelessness – led by people with lived experience

  • POMOC – developing models of support for Polish migrants
