Environmental organisations across the UK have a major opportunity to boost their fundraising through The Big Give’s Earth Raise campaign, a week-long match-funding initiative designed to create “the annual, defining moment for environmental fundraising”. The campaign aims to mobilise significant public support for high-impact environmental charities by doubling donations made during the campaign week.
Earth Raise 2026 will run from 22–29 April 2026, coinciding with World Earth Day.
Who can apply
Eligible organisations must:

Be UK-registered charities

Have an annual income of £25,000 or more

Have a core mission that directly relates to environmental work, including:

Biodiversity

Climate change
-
Energy
-
Waste and recycling
-
Pollution
-
Sustainable transport
-
Other environmental protection or conservation activity

What the campaign offers
Charities accepted into Earth Raise can take part in one of two match-funding models:
1) 1:1 Match Model

Public fundraising target: £1,000–£10,000
-
Donations are matched pound-for-pound during the campaign week
2) Pledge Model

Public donations up to £100,000
-
Combined with:
-
A pledge fund raised in advance
-
Champion match funding from Big Give donors

This model supports larger or more established organisations seeking a significant fundraising boost
How match funding works
Once accepted, each charity is allocated ring-fenced match funding from Champion donors. This funding is released gradually as the charity receives public donations between 22–29 April 2026, doubling the impact for supporters and increasing momentum during the week.
