The Nuffield Foundation has opened applications to its Racial Diversity UK Fund (RDUK), which supports research exploring racial diversity and inequalities across the UK.
Grants range from £15,000 to £500,000 and are aimed at projects that generate strong evidence to inform public debate, policy and practice on tackling racial inequality, discrimination and disadvantage.
For the autumn 2025 funding round, the priority theme is “migration, arrivals, and legacies”. The Foundation is particularly interested in research focusing on:
-
Colonial legacies
-
Patterns and experiences of migration and settlement
-
The impact of migration on communities
-
Future demographics of a multi-racial UK
-
Routes to residency and citizenship
Applications are welcomed from a wide range of organisations, with partnerships between researchers and racially minoritised communities strongly encouraged.
Deadline: October 2026
Funding available: £15,000–£500,000
