Who’s it for?
Black-led initiatives supporting the research careers of Black and Mixed Black heritage people in the UK. Registered or unregistered initiatives are eligible, as long as annual income does not exceed £150,000.
How much?
£13,000–£48,000 in multi-year funding (tiered by income and legal form), plus structured capacity-building support.
What’s it for?
This programme strengthens Black-led leadership in the UK research ecosystem. It supports initiatives that provide mentoring, safe spaces, networks and advocacy for Black researchers, with a focus on long-term resilience rather than short-term delivery.

Applications begin with an Expression of Interest, followed by due diligence and a 1–2–1 health check for shortlisted applicants

Application support is built in, including 1–2–1 calls and drop-in sessions during open windows
