Who can apply

UK charitable organisations including:

  • Registered charities

  • Companies limited by guarantee with an asset lock

  • Organisations working with an appropriate fiscal host

Applicants must:

  • Have an annual income between £100,000 and £10 million

  • Demonstrate national or UK-wide impact

  • Take a systems-level approach and involve people with lived experience in shaping solutions

Environmental work in the UK Overseas Territories may also be considered.


What’s funded

The programme supports organisations addressing interconnected challenges including the climate crisis, inequality and social division.

Examples of supported work include:

  • Building trust and connection within communities and reducing social polarisation

  • Increasing participation and influence in democratic processes

  • Promoting economic systems that support people and planet while reducing inequality

  • Advancing equity and justice for marginalised communities affected by climate, social or economic issues

The Foundation prioritises organisations tackling these issues at a systems level, rather than delivering isolated short-term interventions.


How much

Up to £60,000 per year for up to three years

Maximum total grant: £180,000

Funding is provided as core funding, meaning it can support:

  • Staff salaries

  • Operational costs

  • Monitoring and evaluation

  • Communications

  • Digital development

  • Other essential organisational costs
