The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund offers grants to organisations supporting children and adults with learning disabilities, also described as intellectual disabilities.
Who can apply
Registered charities and organisations formally associated with a registered charity can apply.
Projects must directly benefit people with intellectual disabilities. Autism, mental illness, dyslexia, ADHD or physical disabilities alone are not eligible unless beneficiaries also have an intellectual disability.
What you can get
Grants of up to £5,000 are available.
Funding can support:
- Specific projects
- General running or core costs
- Building and refurbishment work
- Employment schemes
- Play and play therapy
- Day and social activity centres
- Family and respite support
- Independent living and community support
- Snoezelen rooms
Deadline
Applications are open now and Small Grant applications are usually considered monthly.
Key notes
Applicants should be actively fundraising and should not normally ask the Fund to cover the full cost of a project.
