Funding is available for a major UK-wide project to capture, preserve and share the experiences of women who have served in the UK Armed Forces, creating an official digitised oral history collection in partnership with Imperial War Museums.
Who can apply: UK Higher Education Institutions, registered charities, not-for-profit organisations and UK research institutes with appropriate financial and project governance and relevant experience.
What you can get: Up to £250,000 for one project running for no longer than two years. Only one project will receive funding.
Key notes: The successful applicant must produce at least 40 completed, recorded and transcribed interviews, representing women from a diverse range of Services, roles, ranks, generations and backgrounds. Public engagement activities such as exhibitions, events, digital resources and educational materials are also expected.
