Heart of England Community Foundation has relaunched its grant programmes following the introduction of a new grants management system, alongside a number of changes to its funding policies and application requirements.
Organisations considering applying for funding are being encouraged to check the latest guidance carefully. Some of the key changes highlighted by the Foundation include:
- Community Interest Companies (CICs) must have been established and operating for at least two years to be considered for funding.
- The minimum grant application is now £500.
- Applications will not be accepted from CICs with only one or two directors registered as Persons of Significant Control.
- The Foundation has also revised its safeguarding requirements and guidance for applicants.
The Foundation’s current guidance also requires organisations to have a management committee, trustee board or board of directors consisting of at least three unrelated people, alongside appropriate policies and supporting documentation.
These changes could affect the eligibility of organisations that have previously applied to Heart of England Community Foundation, so applicants are advised to review the latest information before starting an application.
