Hundreds of funding opportunities exist with funds available from a few pounds to thousands of pounds, however, it is increasingly competitive.
Generally, funders want to fund good projects, groups and organisations that meet community needs, have an impact and improve people’s lives in some way.
Not all projects and groups need funding but if you think you do, WVCA can help you to find the right funder for your project, group or organisation and can provide support with the application process.

Small grants for VE/VJ Day 80 celebrations
The City of Wolverhampton Council is calling on residents to take part in a nationwide celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day and Victory in Japan Day – VE/VJ Day 80.
UK Shared Prosperity Fund 2025 – 2026
City of Wolverhampton Council have opened a further round of applications under the Community Grants scheme, funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Community Cohesion and Resilience Project Fund
City of Wolverhampton Council has been awarded a portion of funding from The Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to deliver projects that build community relationships and work to prevent and counter harmful narratives. We are inviting applications which seek to bring communities together and raise community awareness and support.

Tesco Stronger Starts Programme: Grants for Children’s Projects
Schools and not-for-profit organisations across the UK can apply for grants of up to £1,500 to support projects that give children a stronger start in life. Priority is given to initiatives focusing on food security and supporting young people.
£75,000 funding for VCSE led health equity projects
The HCT project has a funding pool of £75,000 for VCSE led health equity projects to be delivered between March and September 2025. The projects should be collaborative in nature bringing together different organisations to address issues that the communities you engage with experience.
