Funding is available to enable communities to celebrate the King’s Coronation in style.

Residents and local community and voluntary groups are invited to apply for grants of up to £250 so they can celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III in style.

The City of Wolverhampton Council has made £25,000 available to local communities for activities such as street parties, children’s activities and gatherings in community buildings.

A City of Wolverhampton Council spokesperson said, “Last year, we prioritised funding grassroots community activities to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We supported about 100 different activities and events in the city, creating a lasting legacy in communities. It was so successful, and we had such amazing feedback from local people that we wanted to build on this success.

This year we will be partnering with Wolverhampton Voluntary and Community Action, who will be administering the grants programme on our behalf.”
