Philip Bates Trust – Grants for Young People in the Arts
The Philip Bates Trust offers grants of £100–£250 for individuals and up to £500 for organisations supporting young people (under 25) in the arts. Priority is given to charities, not-for-profits and projects based in the West Midlands. The Trust funds arts education, performance, exhibitions and opportunities that build confidence and celebrate achievement. Deadlines fall in January, May and September ahead of trustee meetings.
Alpkit Foundation – Grants up to £500 for Outdoor Participation Projects
The Alpkit Foundation offers grants up to £500 for individuals, schools, community groups and not-for-profits to help people access outdoor activities. Funding supports projects focused on inclusion, environmental improvement, wellbeing, education and getting more people into nature. Applications are accepted year-round and reviewed every two months. Apply at least three months before your project starts.
7stars Foundation – Grants Supporting Vulnerable Children and Young People
The 7stars Foundation offers up to £2,500 for projects supporting vulnerable children and young people (18 and under) affected by addiction, abuse, homelessness or caring responsibilities. They also provide Direct Grants up to £500 for individuals, applied for by a professional. Open to charities, schools and council-run children’s homes with turnover under £1.5m. Funding rounds run 1 Jul–31 Aug, 1 Dec–1 Feb, and 1 Mar–30 Apr.
Tesco Stronger Starts Grants – Up to £1,500 for Projects Supporting Children & Young People
Tesco’s Stronger Starts grants offer up to £1,500 for projects supporting children and young people. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with shortlisted projects put to a Tesco in-store customer vote. Eligible groups include charities, community organisations, schools and CICs (2+ years old). Awards range from £500 to £1,500 depending on votes. No deadline.
Hinrichsen Foundation – Grants for Contemporary Music Projects
The Hinrichsen Foundation offers grants to support contemporary music projects, including commissions, recordings and performances. UK-based individuals, groups and charities can apply, with typical awards of £500–£3,000 and a dedicated multi-year partnership strand available in the May round. Applicants must show additional income sources, as the Foundation rarely funds projects in full. Deadlines run across four rounds each year.
