Hundreds of funding opportunities exist with funds available from a few pounds to thousands of pounds, however, it is increasingly competitive.
Generally, funders want to fund good projects, groups and organisations that meet community needs, have an impact and improve people’s lives in some way.
Not all projects and groups need funding but if you think you do, WVCA can help you to find the right funder for your project, group or organisation and can provide support with the application process.

The Marketors’ Trust – Charity Marketing Grants Programme
These grants are for the purpose of funding marketing campaigns only and are not available for staff costs, capital investment, hardware or infrastructure work or solely SEO/PPC activity.
Creative Black Country – Creative Communities
Would your community group like to have a go at something creative but need some help to do that?
The Pedmore Sporting Club Trust Fund
The Pedmore Sporting Club Trust Fund offers grants between £500 and £5,000 for voluntary and community organisations.
The Eveson Trust
Funding is available for organisations supporting people with disabilities, mental health issues, children in need, older people, and more.
The Dulverton Trust Fund – Heart Of England Community Foundation
The aim of the Dulverton Trust Fund is to support charitable activities addressing local needs throughout the County of West Midlands and Warwickshire. There are grants of up to £5,000 available for organisations and funding must be spent within 1 year.
IM Properties Community Fund – Heart Of England Community Foundation
IM Properties are a market-leading property company, specialising in innovative, sustainable construction and insightful investment, with a portfolio of award-winning projects. The aim of the fund is to support projects with grants up to £3,000, addressing one of the following priorities as part of IM Properties Sustainable Futures Framework…
The Harry Payne Fund – Heart Of England Community Foundation
The Harry Payne Fund funds a large variety of projects with grants of up to £2,000, the fund aims to help those who are disadvantaged, helping smaller causes where modest donations can make a difference.
Positive Futures Fund – Heart Of England Community Foundation
The Positive Futures Fund aims to support community/voluntary organisations and registered charities working with disadvantaged young people aged 13 to 25 years old, within Birmingham and the Black Country with grants of up to £5,000.
Birmingham & Black Country Communities Fund – Heart Of England Community Foundation
Birmingham and Black Country Communities Fund grants are awarded from the earnings of a number of endowment funds, which are created from contributions by individuals, companies and trusts and managed by Heart of England Community Foundation. The fund has grants up to £3,000 and aims to support people in Birmingham and the Black Country.
October Half Term Funding Application – Yo Wolves Holiday Activities (previously #YES)
The deadline for the October Half Term funding applications is 12.00 Noon on Friday 20th September. Unlike the DfE HAF programme, ALL school-age children that are residents of the City of Wolverhampton are eligible to participate in the Yo October Half Term provisions.
Register as a Food Business requirement for HAF Funding
The HAF team have recently met with the Environmental Health Team who have informed us that any organisation that handles food needs to register as a food establishment. This would mean moving forward if you are applying for HAF or half term activities you would need to be registered.
W.G. Edwards Charitable Foundation – £3k for making the lives of older people better
£3K for organisations who are making the lives of older people better. The funding is for UK registered charities which promote a proactive approach to the physical and mental wellbeing of people who are over 65 years of age.
Evidence into Action – Youth Futures Foundation – up to £225k available to tackle youth unemployment
Evidence into Action – Youth Futures Foundation has up to £225k grants available for voluntary, community, and social enterprise sector organisations across the West Midlands (Wolverhampton, Birmingham, and Sandwell) to design and deliver evidence-based practises that address youth unemployment among young people aged between 16 and 24 from minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
Footwork Trust – People and Place 2025
The Footwork Trust has £5k for a mentoring programme and a supporting restricted grant are available to enable community innovators to turn their bold ideas into projects that deliver long-term change for their neighbourhoods.
New Funding Opportunity from The Prudence Trust
New Funding Opportunity from The Prudence Trust have up to £500k available for charities and community interest companies across the UK to support the delivery of high-quality early support hubs for young people aged between 11 and 25.
Severn Trent – The NeighbourGOOD Scheme
Severn Trent has launched this initiative to give our communities a helping hand on existing or new schemes/projects, through funding and hands-on volunteering.

King Charles III Charitable Fund- Small Grants Programme
This £5k scheme provides small grants to support independent UK registered non-for-profit organisations for grassroots, community-based projects that fall within its core funding themes
Police and Crime Commissioner – My Community Fund
The Police and Crime Commissioner makes money available to support communities in the West Midlands who want to make “My Community” a safer place to live and work.
National Lottery Community Fund – Grants to Foster Stronger Community Connections
Charities and other not-for-profit organisations that want to help communities come together and make the UK a better-connected society can apply for grants of between £500,000 and £5 million through the National Lottery Community Fund (NLCF) – UK Fund.
