Wolverhampton Voluntary & Community Action (WVCA) and Service User Involvement Team (SUIT) are delighted that the City of Wolverhampton Council’s pioneering community Fibro-scan programme has been shortlisted for the Public and Population Health category at this year’s LGC Awards.
WVCA’s SUIT is working in partnership with City of Wolverhampton Council and Recovery Near You to lead a programme of community-based Fibro-scan clinics aimed at breaking down barriers to liver health screening across Wolverhampton.
We’re delighted to announce that Wolverhampton has been chosen to host the 2025 UK Recovery Walk – a first for the city!
Wolverhampton is in the running to host next year’s National Recovery Walk – and residents and local organisations are being asked to back the city’s bid.
SUIT are thrilled to be working alongside Charlotte Webb Illustration & the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust Charity for a project that will connect clients in the Wolverhampton community with the story of healthcare heritage and invite an exploration of what healthcare means to people today.
