Support for your organisation
Funding
We can help you find the right funding for your project or organisation.
Hundreds of funding opportunities exist with funds available from a few pounds to thousands of pounds, however, it is increasingly competitive.
Generally, funders want to fund good projects, groups and organisations that meet community needs, have an impact and improve people’s lives in some way.
Not all projects and groups need funding but if you think you do, WVCA can help you to find the right funder for your project, group or organisation and can provide support with the application process.
3 things you can do to find funding…
Funding opportunities
Here are the funding opportunities we have shared recently…
Funding for Young Innovators Tackling Financial Exclusion
Funding for young innovators tackling financial exclusion is available through the UnLtd Funding Futures Programme, offering grants of up to £18,000 for 16–30 year olds developing business ideas that improve access to financial services in disadvantaged communities. The programme combines funding with tailored support such as coaching, workshops and legal advice, helping young entrepreneurs respond to the cost-of-living crisis and build financially resilient communities. Applications are now open, with limited places available per round.
Funding for Community Wellbeing & Tackling Disadvantage
Funding for community wellbeing and tackling disadvantage is available through the Birmingham and Black Country Communities Fund, offering grants of up to £3,000 for voluntary and community organisations working locally. The fund supports a wide range of grassroots activity, from improving health and wellbeing to strengthening community cohesion and developing local solutions to local needs. Funding is aimed at small-scale projects that deliver clear and lasting benefits for people in Birmingham and the Black Country.

Funding for Organisational Development & Core Capacity
Funding for organisational development and core capacity is available through The Fore, offering grants of up to £30,000 for small charities and social enterprises working with people experiencing poverty or disadvantage.
